How to read a stop
Mahim 400016 · माहीम
Solid bar Brand A: share of its 16 SKUs on shelf at this store.
Open bar Rival B on the same 0–100 scale, so the two compare at a glance.
Pincode one per dark store. The app serves each address from its nearest store.
- On shelf
- Listed at that store and in stock when we looked. A shopper there can buy it now.
- Sold out
- Listed, but zero stock. Somebody ranged it and it emptied. Call your KAM about replenishment.
- Not listed
- The store does not carry it at all. That is a ranging gap. Talk to the category manager.
Across the sample run: Brand A on shelf in 105 of 160 slots (66%). Rival B in 210 of 390 (54%).
Three fixes from that Monday
From the same real run. Brand and product names removed. This is what the first page of your report reads like.
Your four multipacks are barely on shelf. The singles are fine.
What we sawEvery single-unit SKU is in 7 to 10 of the 10 stores. The four 2-packs are in 1, 3, 4 and 5. One 2-pack exists only in Bandra West. The other nine stores never listed it. This is ranging, not stockouts.
Do thisOne ask to your platform KAM this week: range your two best 2-packs in the stores that already carry the singles. Lead with single-cup sell-through. If the answer is no, pull the weakest 2-pack and give its freezer slot to the cup that is in 7 stores.
Who: Category manager
Your two best sellers were sold out in Worli, Dadar and Colaba on Monday afternoon.
What we sawTwo stores list both SKUs and showed zero stock at 13:23. One store serves both Worli and Dadar West. Ten empty slots across three stores, all south of Mahim.
Do thisSend those two store IDs and SKU names to your KAM today. Ask about replenishment for those two stores, not the Mumbai average. We re-run the same stores next Monday and tell you if they came back.
Who: Key account manager
You own one search. Nobody sees your best-value tub.
What we sawOn one diet search you hold half of the top 10 in all 10 stores. On plain “ice cream” you are outside the top 10 everywhere, while Rival B’s ₹74 cup is rank 1 in all 10. Your 1 litre tub is on shelf in all 10 stores at ₹30 per 100 ml and shows up once, at rank 23.
Do thisDon’t cut cup prices. Rival B discounts 25%, you discount 1%, and you are still on more shelves. Put two weeks of sponsored budget behind the tub on “ice cream tub” and “ice cream”, Mumbai only.

Every report ends with rows like these. Open the app at that pincode within the hour and compare.
| Pincode | SKU | We saw |
|---|---|---|
| Worli400025 | Brand A cup, 100 ml | Sold out |
| Colaba400005 | Brand A stick, 70 ml | Sold out |
| Bandra West400050 | Brand A 2-pack, 2×100 ml | On shelf |
| Andheri East400069 | Brand A 2-pack, 2×100 ml | Not listed |
Sample, names removed. In your report each row links to the product in the app.
Every number recomputes from its own page.
If the cover says 66%, page 3 shows the 105 of 160 behind it. If two pages disagree, the report refuses to print.
We keep the receipts.

Questions founders ask
Where does the data come from?
From public listings on quick-commerce apps, read the way a shopper sees them at each pincode, without logging in and without collecting any personal data. Tasdiq is independent and not affiliated with any platform.
Why Monday afternoon?
Between 11 and 3 stores are open and restocked. A crawl at 4 am shows a closed store as all sold out, and would lie. If a store shows every item sold out, we drop it and say so in the report.
What is the difference between sold out and not listed?
Sold out: the store lists the product and shows zero stock. That is a replenishment problem, a KAM conversation. Not listed: the store does not carry it at all. That is a ranging problem, a category-manager conversation. The fix is different, so we keep them apart.
How is “on shelf” counted?
Every one of your SKUs at every store is one slot. In the sample above that is 16 SKUs × 10 stores = 160 slots. Brand A was listed and in stock in 105 of them, so 66%. Sold out and not listed both count as off shelf, because to the shopper both are an empty slot.
Can I check your numbers?
Yes. Every report ends with rows you can open in the app at that pincode and compare. We keep the exact responses the platform returned for each run, with a fingerprint per file, so any row can be traced back.
What is in the free sample run?
One city, five of your SKUs, five pincodes, against the rivals you name. Same method and same report format as the paid plan. It arrives as a PDF by email.
Which cities and platforms?
Tell us where your shoppers buy and which cities matter to you. You pick the pincodes, and we run the stores that serve them. The example on this page is a Mumbai run.
See your own line map.
Send your brand. We run five of your SKUs at five pincodes in your city against the rivals you watch, and email you the report. Same method as the paid plan, and you never have to get on a call.
